Maintenance of a BODE rope brake

Maintenance is to be carried out in connection with the maintenance of the elevator system and is limited to the following points:

The rope brake must be checked for correct functioning. Close and open once.

The brake linings may run in except for a gap width of 5 mm when the brake is closed.

Please observe the care instructions of the manufacturers of the load-bearing agent. It is essential to check the condition of the load-bearing means, as over-greasing of the load-bearing means can lead to a loss of braking force!

The maintenance instructions in the operating instructions for the compressor must be observed.
