Selection of position switches
Position switches indicate the state of the speed governor. These are safety switches according to EN ISO 13849-1 that are directly integrated into the passive safety circuit.
A distinction is made between non-latching and latching position switches. Unlike non-latching switches, latching switches are reset manually or electrically.
For controllers that do not lock automatically after tripping of the speed governor, latching switches must be selected. Until reset, the lift remains electrically “locked.”
The selection of contacts depends on the electrical integration in the lift system.
